While visiting Romania's famous Bran Castle (also known as Dracula's Castle), I spotted this shy teapot resting on an old stove, as if patiently waiting to serve tea once again. Its delicate presence in that moment inspired me to paint it and celebrate the kind of beauty hidden in simple, everyday objects. At first glance, it is just a teapot. At second glance, it becomes an object that has witnessed generations come and go, carrying stories of past gatherings and slow afternoons that will live on for as long as it is remembered.
